Doxycycline Hyclate
Doxycycline Hyclate (also known as doxycycline hydrochloride) is a light blue or yellow crystalline powder, odorless and bitter, hygroscopic, soluble in water and methanol, slightly soluble in ethanol and acetone . This product has a broad antibacterial spectrum and is effective against Gram-positive cocci and negative bacilli. The antibacterial effect is about 10 times stronger than that of tetracycline, and it is still effective against tetracycline-resistant bacteria. Mainly used for respiratory tract infections, chronic bronchitis, pneumonia and urinary tract infections, etc., but also for typhus, typhoid, and mycoplasma pneumonia.
Indications
Mainly used for upper respiratory tract infection, tonsillitis, biliary tract infection, lymphadenitis, cellulitis, chronic bronchitis, pneumonia and urinary tract infections, etc. caused by sensitive gram-positive cocci and gram-negative bacilli, also used for typhus, Tsutsugamushi disease, Mycoplasma pneumonia, etc. It can still be used to treat cholera, and it can also be used to prevent falciparum malaria and Leptospirosis infection.
Usage
Tiamulin hydrogen fumarate is used for the treatment of swine pneumonia caused by Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae and swine blood dysentery caused by Treponema hyodysenteriae. As a feed drug additive for pigs can promote weight gain. It is also effective against chronic respiratory disease in chickens, mycoplasma hyopneumonia, and staphylococcal synovitis in chickens.
